Leading-Edge Medical Facility Now Open In Turlock

In response to the growing demand from Central Valley Residents for more health care choices, the Tower Health & Wellness Center was opened in 2005. First conceived in 2001, the original idea started when several medical partners realized there were limited out-patient medical office facilities in Turlock, and believed there was a need for an Ambulatory Surgery Center that would enable them to accommodate their patients’ busy schedules. "After much discussion, it was decided to expand the concept into a full service medical office mall," explains Dr. Sam J. W. Romeo, one of the founding partners. "The focus of the Tower is to define the medical community's identity and to stand as a symbol of excellence in health care. A Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Tower was held in May of 2004, one year and seven months later the Tower was opened and fully occupied. An official Grand Opening Ceremony was held on May 6, 2006 and included an Emancipation by the Mayor and speeches from other Turlock dignitaries and our very own Dr. Sam J. W. Romeo made the official welcome speech to residents of Turlock and surrounding communities.

The Tower’s target audience is one that believes in and values a healthy lifestyle, and because of this, the patients want local access to the best medical care available. While the Tower primarily serves the Turlock community, we also draw patients from Patterson, Merced, Hilmar, and other neighboring communities, and employ over 300 people from various communities within Stanislaus, Tuolumne and Merced Counties. A wide spectrum of medical services are housed under the Tower’s roof, including Primary Care, Sports Medicine and Occupational Health Services, Facial Plastic Surgery, Pediatric Otolaryngology, Ear, Nose and Throat Care, Orthopedic Surgery, Radiology, Lab, Cardiology, Neurology, Pulmonary and Cosmetic Dentistry, Day Spa, Laser Hair Reduction and Aesthetic Medicine, Massage Therapy, Skin Care Services, Sleep Studies, Physical Therapy, Ambulatory Surgery Center, and Medical Administration Management Services.

The Tower houses not only physicians and medical facilities, but offers amenities designed to accommodate patients and their families. "We have a fine dining restaurant , elegant and private day spa and salon, beautiful flower shop, exquisite event center with a full time event coordinator, computer networking services and an exceptional service oriented pharmacy," explains Dr. Romeo. "The Tower was designed to be a destination place. There is no other facility that offer this combination of medical services under one roof and definitely none with the ambiance and additional retail opportunities. We believe the patients and visitors  appreciate the human touch and caring physicians that designed this building for the Turlock community."
